Your adventure begins with hotel pick-up and a visit to the iconic Tulum Archaeological Site. Famous for its walled fortress and dramatic location on a cliff overlooking the turquoise Caribbean Sea, you will wander through ancient temples dedicated to the wind and the descending god, enjoying the fresh sea breeze and spectacular photo opportunities.
Next, travel inland to the majestic ruins of Ek Balam (Star Jaguar), nestled deep in the Mayan jungle. Here, you will discover a site known for its incredibly preserved stucco carvings and the towering Acropolis. You’ll have the chance to admire the intricate artistry of the “monster mouth” entrance and gaze out over the lush canopy from atop the main structures.
Finally, relax after your exploration with a delicious lunch featuring authentic regional cuisine, allowing you to savor the flavors of the Yucatan before your comfortable return transfer.

Cenote Stop and Swim: 45 min stop. We will enjoy one of the amazing swim stops in the Yucatan, a fresh water pool, cold and see through. Perfect to refresh!
Ek Balam Ruins: 1hr and a 30 min, Ek Balam is amazing, small and a beautiful example of the wonderful hisoty of the Mayan culture.
Lunch will be in downtown Valladolid at a beautiful hacienda style restaurant. Your group will be given free time if you want to do a little shopping along the way.
We will return you to your final stop at your villa or Airbnb after an amazing day in the Riviera Maya.

Ek Balam is one of the new jewels of Mayan archaeology and our personal favorite! There are incredibly well-preserved stucco sculptures over 1200 years old which you witness up close by climbing the Acropolis, a nearly 100 ft. tall temple. Considered a sacred city ruled by a living god and you can see and touch many of the temples and ruins in this wonderful ancient testament of the Mayans. It is a not-to-be-missed site.
